     Note :  1)  All students attending an examination must be in the examination room, and         

                     seated, at least 15 minutes prior to the official commencement of the paper.

       2)  Writing paper will be provided by the College.

CATHOLIC JUNIOR COLLEGE

EXAMINATION REGULATION AND INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS

 

1.                    Students are not allowed to enter the Examination Room/Venue until they are told to do so by the Chief Invigilator.

 

2.                    Students must be in their assigned seats in the Examination Room/Venue at least 15 minutes prior to the commencement of the paper.

 

3.                    Silence must be observed in the Examination Room/Venue.

 

4.                    Students must have their Identity Cards or Student Passes with them for all papers, and these must be placed on their desks.

 

5.                    Students are not permitted to eat or drink while in the Examination Room/Venue.

 

6.                    Students are not permitted to have any unauthorised book, memorandum or pocket book, notes or paper, hand-phones or pagers in their possession while in the Examination Room/Venue.

 

7.                    Name, Home Tutorial Group and  Subject must be clearly written on every sheet of writing paper and on any loose map or graph paper. The number of each of the questions attempted must be written on the front sheet of the answer script, in the space provided. Paper numbers of each subject must be indicated e.g. Geography Paper 1.

 

8.                    Students are to write on both sides of the answer paper unless instructed otherwise.

 

9.                    Students must not leave any sheet of answer paper in such a position that another student can read it.

 

10.                Dishonesty of any form is a serious offence and students guilty of any acts of dishonesty will be dealt with appropriately.

 

11.                Students must not take any used or unused writing paper out of the Examination Room/Venue under any circumstance. Students disregarding this caution will be penalised in the same manner as those guilty of any act of dishonesty.

 

12.                 Students are expected to utilise the full time allocated for each subject and are not, except in special circumstances, allowed to leave the Examination Room/Venue.

 

13.                 Students should remain seated and maintain silence while answer scripts are being collected.

 

14.                 A medical certificate is required if a student is absent for a paper. In special cases, the written approval of the Principal may be given. Without either of these, a student who misses a paper is deemed to have failed that paper. Original medical certificates must be handed to the Internal Examinations Committee through the Home Tutor within 2 days after the scheduled date of the examined paper.
